2016 Croquet Cabernet Sauvignon
A library wine from our Croquet Vineyard high on Howell Mountain, and one that has had a decade to show what the site does with time. Strong notes of fresh blackberry pie with a hint of lavender and a purity that stops you for a second. The entry is soft, rich tannins fill the mid-palate, and it finishes with incredible length and balance. Aged 20 months in 90% new French oak, with Winemaker Laura Barrett selecting the very best barrels for this single-vineyard bottling. Pairs with Fondue, a Cheese and Charcuterie board or Tomahawk.
