2022 Valle di Sotto Zinfandel

Ripe Zinfandel character right up front — dark cherry on the nose with a little spice hiding behind it — then red fruit through the entry and black licorice on the finish. The tannins are robust through the mid-palate, and a burst of bright acidity carries the whole thing long past the last sip. It is 97% Zinfandel and 3% Petite Sirah from our organically farmed Valle di Sotto estate vineyard in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District, where cooling marine air keeps the fruit lively, hand-harvested and hand-sorted, then aged fourteen months in French oak with only a touch of it new.
