What started as a chance introduction through our work with the LUNAFEST® film festival has blossomed into a multi-year partnership with world-renowned visual artist and author, Reyna Noriega.
Together, we’ve created a collection that celebrates the vibrant spirit of our community and our shared commitment to social responsibility. We sat down with Reyna to talk about her creative journey, the inspiration behind the labels, and why this collaboration feels like home.
The Artist’s Journey
Q: How did you get started as a visual artist and author?
Reyna: My father is an artist, so it’s in my blood! As a child, I was always stealing his sketchbooks to doodle. I finally took art as an elective in 11th grade and fell in love. My classmates were so supportive that it gave me the courage to take it seriously. Writing came early, too—my teachers in elementary school always encouraged me to enter contests. Over time, art became my way to express myself, communicate my thoughts, and imagine a better world.
Q: What inspires your creativity and choice of subjects?
Reyna: My work is inspired by a need to communicate with the hearts of others and encourage them to prioritize peace, joy, and growth. I tend to look at the barriers people may have to attaining those things, which led me to focus on women of color as my primary subjects. I want to highlight the beauty in our differences.

Q: Why did you choose to partner with Clif Family?
Reyna: Clif Family was the perfect partner! We both share a deep passion for creativity and giving back. Being a B Corp Certified winery truly aligns with my values—their focus on supporting people, the planet, and the community is so inspiring. Plus, the fact that they host events to benefit local art organizations with each release solidified that this was the perfect fit.
Q: What are your thoughts on representation in the art and wine industries?
Reyna: The beauty of the world is in our differences. Just like different plants bear unique fruit, we all bring talents that enrich our society. I’m proud to share my art with Clif Family and support representation for women and minorities. Having a woman winemaker like Laura Barrett is rare and special, and Clif Family has such a strong team of women behind the scenes. It’s an honor to celebrate that.
The Inspiration Behind the Labels
Q: What inspired the specific artwork for these wine labels?
Reyna: Wine is such a rich subject—from the grapes to the way it dances in the glass. I wanted to capture that experience. For the Red Blend, I used deeper, richer tones to reflect its depth. For the White Blend, I used a vibrant palette to mirror the crisp Chardonnay and Viognier.
Q: You specifically approached Laura about adding a Rosé to the collection. Why?
Reyna: Rosé is my favorite summer wine—it’s crisp, tart, and perfect for sunny days in Miami. But beyond that, my artist brain saw our existing red and white wines and realized they needed to be a trio! I imagined the design and color palette immediately. I wanted the Rosé label to feel tropical and capture the peace of laying on the beach.
Q: How has your label art evolved over the course of this partnership?
Reyna: As the trust has grown, I’ve felt more confident in my vision. I’ve had more fun creating complex designs and patterns. Each label is a special, limited-edition piece that documents my history with Clif Family. Now, I imagine how they’ll live together as a set on someone’s table.
Bringing a Taste of Napa to Miami
Q: Clif Family wines are now available in your hometown of Miami! Where should we go to enjoy a glass?
Reyna: Miami has beautiful parks and beaches! Mid Beach, Sunny Isles, or Peacock Park are all great. If you want a bit of culture, an art walk through the Wynwood Walls is a must.
Q: What do you hope people take away from this collaboration?
Reyna: I want the wine to bring joy! My art is a reminder of good feelings and good times. I hope these wines give people a reason to sit, relax, and enjoy the company of loved ones while pondering the good days to come.
