You approached Winemaker Laura Barrett about collaborating on a Rosé. What makes rosé one of your favorite wines?
Rosé is my favorite summer wine. It’s crisp, tart, and perfect for sunny days in Miami, but that’s not why I mentioned it to Laura. I saw our existing red and white wines and realized these wines needed to be a trio. I love variations of pink and my artist brain imagined the design, color palette, and how it would complement the other wine labels immediately.

What inspired the artwork for this collaboration? Can you walk us through your creative process?
I started with the color palette. I wanted it to feel tropical—lighter and more fun. Sometimes I focus on ingredients or flavor notes, but other times I imagine the mood people will be in while enjoying the wine. This one captures the peace of laying on the beach. It has a laid-back, flowing feel. The pale pink hue of Laura's Rosé of Cabernet Franc ended up complementing the artwork even better than I had anticipated, creating a perfect harmony between the wine and the label.
How has your art for wine labels evolved throughout your partnership with Clif Family?
Over time, I’ve felt more confident in my vision. As trust has grown, I’ve had more fun creating complex designs and patterns. Each label is a special, limited-edition piece that documents my history with Clif Family. Now, I imagine how they’ll live together and how they’ll look when we reflect on them years from now.
What are your thoughts on representation in the art world and wine industry?
The beauty of the world is in our differences. Just like different plants bear unique fruit, we all bring visions and talents that enrich our society. I’m proud to share my art with Clif Family and support representation for women and minorities. Having a woman winemaker is rare and special. Clif Family also has a strong team of women working behind the scenes. It’s an honor to celebrate that.
Clif Family wines are now available in your hometown of Miami. If we were visiting, where should we go (perhaps with a glass of Reyna Rosé)?
Miami has beautiful parks and beaches. Mid Beach, Sunny Isles, Peacock Park, and Bayfront Park are all great. An art walk through the Wynwood Walls is another must! So many places to explore.
What message or feeling do you hope people take away from your artwork and this partnership?
I want people to harness joy in their lives. My art is a reminder of good feelings and good times. Our memories are shaped by images and experiences, and I hope this Rosé adds to those special moments.
