Blue Cheese Tarts with Pluot Lavender Jam

Ingredients
1 sheet pre-rolled puff pastry
6 oz Point Reyes Bay Blue cheese
½ jar of Clif Family Organic Pluot Lavender Jam
1 tsp picked fresh thyme leaves
1 tsp dried lavender buds (optional)

 

Egg Wash
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp whole milk

  • Preheat oven to 400F. Line a sheet tray with parchment paper.
  • On a cutting board, cut the puff pastry into 2 ½” x 2 ½” squares. Score each piece with a smaller square about ½” within its borders, not cutting all the way through. Poke the inner part of each square with a fork multiple times to allow steam to vent.
  • Brush the edges with egg wash around the borders and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and push down the inner part of each square with a spoon or spatula to create little tart shells.
  • Crumble the blue cheese and disperse evenly across all squares and sprinkle fresh thyme and lavender over if you are using.
  • Bake for another 10 minutes or until cheese is melty and gooey.
  • Allow to cool slightly and top each square with a teaspoon sized dollop of Clif Family Organic Pluot Lavender Jam.
