Caribbean Jerk Sauce

Caribbean Jerk Sauce with Clif Family Organic Yellow Lantern Hot Sauce

Recipe By Chef John McConnell Yield: 3 cups INGREDIENTS: ¼ cup Tamari sauce 3 shallots, roughly chop 6 scallions, sliced 8 cloves of garlic, roughly chop 1” piece of peel ginger, roughly chop 2 fl oz Clif Family Organic Yellow Lantern Hot Sauce ½ tsp ground cloves ½ tsp cinnamon 1 tsp black pepper ¼ cup ground allspice 2 tsp dried thyme 1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice 1 tsp salt ¼ cup Clif Family Extra Virgin Olive Oil METHOD Heat oil in a saucepan and lightly toast the chopped garlic and ginger. Add shallots and green onions to pan, along with the dried thyme and spices. Allow shallots to cook until translucent and spices become aromatic. Remove from heat and cool. Transfer mixture to a blender with lime juice, tamari sauce and Clif Family Organic Yellow Lantern Hot Sauce and blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
