Reducing our Footprint
We are committed to partnering with growers that farm organically or are certified through a third-party certification program such as Napa Green or the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance. Our Cold Springs and Croquet Estate Vineyards are CCOF certified organic and Napa Green certified.
Clif Family Farm CCOF certified. In 2010, Clif Family Farm became certified organic by CCOF. Our commitment to organic farming goes hand-in-hand with our goal to grow food in ways that nurture the land, protect wildlife, and benefit communities and people’s health.
Napa Green Certified. Napa Green is a comprehensive sustainability certification program for vineyards and wineries in the Napa Valley. Soil-to-bottle stewardship includes protecting and restoring the Napa River watershed; saving energy and water; reducing waste and carbon footprint; and being conscientious employers and good neighbors. Independent, third-party certification of farms and winemaking facilities makes Napa Green one of the most rigorous sustainability accreditations the wine industry offers.
Offset Carbon Emissions from Business Practices. Our power for all of our farm properties, administrative office and tasting room comes from MCE Clean Energy’s Deep Green program. With Deep Green, 100% of our power comes from non-polluting wind, solar power and biogas.
Create meaningful partnerships. We have partnered with Seed Matters to support their initiatives to improve the viability and availability of organic seed to ensure healthy, nutritious and productive crops. We also partner with many local community organizations that are working to enhance the lives and wellbeing of our local community.
