Clif Family Recipe Contest
January is a great time to head into the kitchen, pull out your recipe books and find culinary inspiration for the year ahead. This year we asked our Clif Family team members to share their favorite recipes using our Clif Family Napa Valley products. Some people spiced up their current recipes with a new ingredient while others created entirely original recipes. After much deliberation (it’s hard work judging so much great tasting food), we came up with our Top 5 for 2019. We headed back to the kitchen to test them, photograph them and of course eat them. And now we are sharing them with you. We start with an appetizer that is so simple it takes all of the hard work out of entertaining but is so tasty that you’ll likely have to make a double batch for your guests. We hope these recipes add some spice to your culinary adventures in 2019.
½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup Mexican blend cheese, shredded
8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
1 TBSP mayonnaise
2 TBSP Clif Family Everything Spice Blend
3/4 cup Clif Family Rosemary Roasted Almonds and Pistachios, chopped
Mix all ingredients except nuts in food processor or mixer until smooth. Form into ball or log and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least an hour. Roll chilled ball or log into the chopped nuts. Pour a glass of Clif Family wine and serve with your favorite crackers.
