Spice Up Your Summer Grilling

Our Clif Family Napa Valley Dukkah Spice Blends and Seasonings are the perfect addition to your summertime barbecue favorites. Chef John McConnell shares his tips for spicing up your summer grilling. Open up a bottle of Clif Family Sauvignon Blanc, fire up the grill and take in the flavors of summer!

 

Porcini Spice Rub –  Our go-to staple to add robust flavor to all kinds of grilled meats. You’ll want a jar on hand for pork, chicken, steak and even veggies.

Everything Spice Blend – When you need to add “just one more thing” to your favorite veggie side, Everything Seasoning is just that. Season fresh corn off the grill or sprinkle on avocados, snap peas, broccoli and salads. We especially like to add it to our potato salad.

Porchetta Seasoning – As the name suggests, this is a natural for pork. But use as a seasoning salt on many dishes. It is excellent on fish like salmon or seabass and delicious on roast chicken to add flavors of rosemary, garlic and sweet fennel. Add to grilled onions for a tasty side dish.

Savory Coconut Dukkah – This sweet and savory combo is delicious on veggies. Sprinkle on slices of thick heirloom tomatoes with a drizzle of olive oil. It also works well on grilled corn.

Classic Hazelnut Dukkah – Sprinkle on top of grilled flatbread (Chef John recommends store bought pizza dough, stretched thin for the barbeque) with a liberal amount of olive oil for a tasty side dish or appetizer.

Toasted Sesame + Pistachio Dukkah – Use liberally on top of favorite summertime appetizers like baba ghanoush, hummus and Padron peppers. This is the ultimate pantry secret weapon.
